Reviews

Reading the first part of this book was truthfully like reading the autobiography of paint. Dull! Dull! Dull! However, if you can get past the first 350 pages (A feat, believe me!), the rest of the book flies! The imagery is so believable at times it is frightening. The main character grows into an outstanding heroine with an indomitable spirit before the novel finds its end. It could have been better but still a satisfactory read.

This book is full to the brim with excellent imagery. The characters felt like real people in believable situations. There seemed to be no purpose through the majority of the book. Nevertheless, the last part shot like a rocket. The problems experienced by the main character felt triumphed over too easily.

A great story but the action was non-existent for most of the book. It was full of superb intrigue and non-stereotypical villains that remained believable.

Didn't read it. DOESN'T COUNT BECAUSE I WASN'T PART OF THE GROUP YET! Although I'm supposed to read it. Yeah Right!

Not part of the group but I did read it. I loved this book. Yes, it was about 200 pages too long (at the end), but it was a great book. I loved the story of how Phedre grew up and came into her profession. The political stuff was kind of hard to follow at times with all the characters involved. I will definitely read the sequels.
