Reviews

An utterly average read so much so that I forgot that I read it. The milieu is interesting but we spend too much time not knowing what's going on. I hate that. The characters are so so, nothing special stands out about them and the mystery of the book does not even begin to be solved. You do not even know who the bad guy really is. The story line is a muddled mess that does not convince you of much of anything other than it's a better book than some, but not as good as others. One can hope that the author, Jay Caselberg does better with his later books, however I doubt I'll read any.

In Depth

Now this is how a mystery should read! It has most of the elements needed for a successful detective story.

The main character in this book is a Psychic Investigator -- like a private investigator but with psychic "powers'. Considering his abilities, I would have expected him to figure the case out a heck of a lot sooner but it took forever for him to find the clues he needed and solve the mystery. There were also several loose ends that I was unhappy with and the writing was choppy. Overall, it was an entertaining story, just not a well-written book.
