This book is a fun story about the main character's(Ben Holiday) self-discovery. This book is in no way intended to be taken seriously. It is pure fluff. Everything else in the story is only given a quick mention as it pertains to Ben. The plot, the world, and the supporting characters are all stereotypes.

But it works for this book.

The whole premise for the story is based on the fact that it IS a stereotypical world. The usual flaws that fuel my gripes are weaved into the story on purpose. As a reader, I felt like I was Ben and that I was falling into a fantasy story.
